Review of the RTC ACCESS Mobile App

The RTC ACCESS Mobile App serves as a practical tool for clients of the RTC ACCESS paratransit program. The app enables users to view estimated arrival times (ETAs) for same-day trips, as well as manage and cancel future reservations with ease.

Login Process

To access the app, users must provide three pieces of Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Last Name, Customer Number, and Date of Birth. For those who are unsure about their Customer Number or wish to verify their information, assistance is available by contacting 775-348-5438. Upon successful login, users will be directed to the "My Ride" section. In cases of unsuccessful login attempts, an Invalid Login message will be displayed.

My Ride Section

The "My Ride" section presents pertinent details regarding the user's upcoming trip for the day. Information available includes the pickup window, projected arrival time of the vehicle, vehicle type, and estimated fare amount, ensuring that clients are well-informed about their travel plans.

Upcoming Trips

The "Upcoming Trips" section outlines scheduled trips for the current day and up to three days in advance. Users can tap on a specific pickup window to reveal additional trip details. This section provides an option to cancel a trip; however, it is important to note that clicking the cancel trip button finalizes the cancellation immediately, rather than merely submitting a request. It is possible to cancel both future and same-day trips, with the exception of any same-day trips that fall within one hour of the pickup window. Upon cancellation, users will receive confirmation of their request.

For cancellations attempted within one hour of the pickup window, users will be advised to contact Customer Service directly.

My Account Section

The "My Account" section contains the user's contact information and customer number. It also allows for customization of the app’s color theme to a darker contrast for enhanced accessibility.
